Key Accounts Manager - Retail

About the role

The Key Accounts Manager – Retail will drive sales growth and achieve targets across the assigned territory. You will promote, merchandise and sell food, liquor and allied products, while building strong relationships with buyers and principals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and maintain existing accounts to meet sales goals.
• Market, promote, merchandise and trade Deep Catch Group products in retail outlets.
• Travel nationally to service existing customers and prospect new ones.
• Conduct weekly store assessments and keep product returns to a minimum.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, pricing control and retail master data.
• Analyse daily reports on stock, expiry, sales revenue and claims.
• Collaborate with operational buying teams to ensure stock levels are maintained.
• Develop and execute in‑store strategic deals to increase volume and sales.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education; a sales or marketing qualification is a plus.
• At least 3 years of relevant sales experience with a proven track record.
• Strong understanding of the retail industry, especially food and beverage.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Team‑player with good people skills and emotional intelligence.
