About the role
The Distribution Team Leader will report to the Logistics Manager and is responsible for executing daily delivery plans, ensuring compliance with distribution and warehouse standards, and leading a diverse team in Namibia.
Key responsibilities
- Execute daily delivery plans and maintain compliance with Distribution and Warehouse BWPs.
- Control driver shortages at the depot and in trade.
- Maintain budget control through correct dispatching and mode mix management.
- Implement ODIF principles and perform SCMAT tasks on schedule.
- Respond to customer and sales team queries efficiently.
- Maintain RTMS accreditation and ensure a safe, risk‑free working environment.
- Lead performance management and development of team members.
- Implement driver satisfaction surveys and generate regular reports.
Required profile
- BCom Degree or Diploma in Logistics / Transport Management.
- Minimum two years’ experience in FMCG transport, logistics, distribution or planning.
- Good understanding of CCBA logistics systems, road transport legislation and NOSA.
- Strong analytical, judgement and problem‑solving abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- PC literacy.
- Valid BE driver’s licence.
