Trade Marketing Execution & Events Specialist

About the role

This position is responsible for developing and executing differentiated trade marketing experiences that surprise consumers and strengthen brands. You will lead flagship events, manage regional calendars, and ensure consistent brand activation across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, produce, execute, and evaluate major flagship events and brand experiences.
• Implement the events strategy, create a national events plan, and manage regional calendars.
• Coordinate with agencies and internal stakeholders for event negotiation, planning, and execution.
• Manage regional experiential event budgets and negotiate sponsorship deals.
• Ensure best‑in‑class execution of brand assets across regions and maintain consistency of assets.
• Develop and deliver event activation toolkits and lead related training.
• Oversee ticketing and hospitality fulfillment.
• Manage relationships with experiential agencies, partners, and suppliers.
• Establish ROI criteria for events and monitor performance.
• Share best practices and build capabilities across African markets.

Required profile

• Degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a formal on‑premise market.
• Valid unendorsed Code 8 driver’s licence.
• Strong verbal communication, persuasiveness, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience handling key accounts, demanding customers, and premium‑brand markets.
• Proven ability to manage internal stakeholder relationships and project delivery.
