Payroll Manager – Full‑cycle Payroll & HR Leadership

About the role

The company is expanding and seeks a qualified Payroll Manager to oversee the complete payroll function, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and compliance. The role also involves stepping in to perform broader HR management duties when required.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end payroll cycle, including inputs, salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, leave adjustments, benefits, statutory contributions, banking files, payslips and reconciliations.
• Ensure full compliance with Namibian labour, tax, social security and employment‑equity legislation, coordinate audits and submit statutory returns.
• Lead the payroll and HR administration team, allocate work, develop staff capability and enforce policies.
• Maintain effective relationships with employees, finance, auditors, regulators and service providers to deliver professional payroll support.
• Administer salary structures and employee benefits, support annual reviews and ensure changes are accurately reflected in payroll.
• Prepare timely payroll, headcount, labour‑cost, leave and management reports, analysing data and providing recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum eight years of progressive HR and payroll experience, including supervisory or managerial responsibility.
• Proven experience managing full‑cycle payroll in a medium to large organisation with statutory submissions and audits.
• Strong knowledge of Namibian labour legislation, PAYE, Social Security and employment‑equity requirements.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and sound judgement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with payroll and HR information systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for payroll reporting and analysis.
• Experience with D‑Bit payroll processing (advantageous).
