Trainee Financial Planner

About the role

Momentum Group Namibia is seeking a motivated Trainee Financial Planner to join its sales team. This permanent, fully remote position offers the opportunity to develop professional expertise in financial advice while supporting clients in achieving their financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Engage prospective clients, presenting product features and benefits aligned with their financial needs.
• Conduct affordability analyses to recommend suitable financial solutions.
• Accurately record client information, sales actions, and administrative data in company systems.
• Meet production, quality, and conversion targets set by the organization.
• Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements throughout the sales process.
• Handle client inquiries promptly, escalating complex issues to the appropriate department.
• Develop and expand an individual client base through networking, referrals, and prospecting.
• Provide ongoing advice to existing clients to promote retention.

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
• A degree in Marketing, Business Management, or an equivalent field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in a financial advice role (essential) and up to 3 years in the financial services industry (desirable).
• Understanding of the Namibian insurance sector and relevant industry licences (e.g., NAMFISA).
• Additional qualifications such as a COP certification are advantageous.

• Knowledge of NAMFISA licensing requirements.
• Ability to perform financial affordability analysis.
• Proficiency in using sales and client‑management systems.
