Technical Specialist

About the role

The Technical Specialist provides independent professional engineering services on multidisciplinary projects, supporting planning, design, delivery and close‑out of road and civil infrastructure works in Namibia. The role combines technical expertise, quality assurance and client engagement to achieve project and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality engineering designs, drawings and models using Autodesk Civil 3D, CAD platforms and BIM workflows.
• Supervise inspections, review work of engineers and technicians, and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Support project budgets, contract administration, variation orders and contractor claim assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of Namibia.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in a consulting role.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of CAD platforms.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) principles.
