Team Leader – Commercial Wesbank

About the role

The Team Leader will oversee daily operations for the Commercial Wesbank team, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently, resources are optimised, and workflow aligns with operational objectives and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Control expenditure and identify process improvements to reduce costs.
• Deliver consistent sales support services to enhance customer experience and retention.
• Monitor and resolve complaints, including escalated issues.
• Create solutions that meet customer demands and drive sales growth.
• Maintain high standards of internal and external customer service.
• Manage risks, develop operational processes, and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Lead the team to meet performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and apply HR policies.
• Participate in talent management, employment equity, and employee development activities.
• Maintain expert knowledge of products, pricing, and processing timelines.
• Set stretch goals, motivate the team, and report operational progress.
• Conduct call quality management through random sampling and monitor sales activities.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Advanced Diploma) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in leading commercial or sales teams.
• Strong understanding of banking products and processes.
• Ability to manage performance, discipline, recognition, and retention in line with HR policies.
