SHEQ and HR Coordinator

About the role

Epiroc is seeking a proactive SHEQ and HR Coordinator to lead safety, health, environment, quality and human‑resources initiatives for its Namibia operations. You will ensure compliance with group standards, local legislation and drive continuous improvement across the workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SHEQ and HR functions, ensuring alignment with Epiroc Group standards, ISO requirements and Namibian labour and SHEQ legislation.
• Manage incident reporting, risk assessments, emergency preparedness and business continuity planning.
• Coordinate SHEQ training, statutory compliance, employee awareness programmes and continuous improvement projects.
• Monitor, report and present SHEQ and HR performance metrics to senior management.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, disciplinary actions and wellness initiatives.
• Facilitate performance management, skills audits, training and employee development.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, payroll, benefits and employee queries while maintaining accurate records.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, inclusion and employee engagement.

Required profile

• Grade 12 and a degree in Human Resources plus a SHEQ diploma or certificate.
• Minimum three years of experience in industrial or mining environments.
• Exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation and internal auditing.
• Strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office tools.

Required skills

• MS Office / Microsoft Office proficiency
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
• Internal auditing experience
• Familiarity with SHEQ tools used in operations
• Root cause analysis and statistical analysis capabilities
