Sales Representative – FMCG / Food Products

About the role

Sunflow Oils Namibia, a Namibian company supplying premium 100% pure sunflower oil and other FMCG products to households, retailers and the food industry, is hiring a Sales Representative for its FMCG / Food Products business. The position is full-time and hybrid, based in Windhoek, combining on-site client visits with some work-from-home flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and manage existing customer accounts.
• Promote the company's products to retailers, wholesalers, restaurants and other food service clients.
• Conduct sales visits and presentations, and negotiate pricing and contracts within company guidelines.
• Process orders and follow up on inquiries and leads in a timely way.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to support sales strategy and product positioning.
• Collaborate with internal teams on promotions, report regularly on sales performance and keep accurate records in the CRM or sales tracking system.

Required profile

• Proven experience in FMCG or food product sales, preferably cooking oils or related consumer goods.
• Matric/Grade 12 required; a diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the Namibian retail and wholesale market, including key players in food and hospitality.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within Windhoek and other regions.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and uphold ethical sales practices.

Required skills

• Customer relationship management, account management and negotiation.
• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills in English.
• Basic competency with MS Office tools and sales reporting; familiarity with CRM systems is beneficial.
