Medical Sales Representative - SANULAC Nutrition

About the role

CIC Namibia is looking for a Medical Sales Representative to act as the first point of contact and educator for the healthcare providers of the SANULAC Nutritional brand within their territory. The role covers the sales of the SANULAC product portfolio across Northern Namibia, from Otjiwarongo to Katima Mulilo, on a bi-monthly basis, and is based in Rundu, Oshakati or Ondangwa.

Key responsibilities

• Educate healthcare providers on the SANULAC Nutritional product portfolio, within the restrictions of the WHO Code of Marketing Breast Milk Substitutes
• Follow up with healthcare providers to gather feedback and questions, and provide ongoing customer support
• Manage relationships with Clinic Sisters, private hospitals, pharmacies, paediatricians, dieticians and general practitioners, and check and assist on stock status in trade
• Develop territory business plans and adhere to business rules such as call rate standards, daily call logging and call plan adherence
• Manage the customer database and stakeholder map, identify new business potential and run tactical action plans across the territory
• Conduct ongoing training for healthcare providers and attend regular team, general and cycle meetings
• Prepare a concise month-end report and action plan report for the Regional Sales Manager

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12
• Suitable tertiary qualification such as BSc Dietetics/Nutrition, B Cur or Health Sciences, or a Marketing/Sales qualification
• Valid driver's licence and car
• Minimum 3 years of detail representative experience; previous nutritional basket experience is a benefit
• Existing relationships with key customers are an advantage
