Sales Representative - Fast-Moving Consumer Goods

About the role

CIC Namibia is looking for a Sales Representative to manage a wide range of fast-moving consumer goods and to increase sales while managing costs so that margins are improved. The closing date for applications is 03 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets in existing product lines and keep or improve sales and merchandising standards set by the principal.
• Negotiate profitable deals on existing and new product lines with shop buyers, including discounts, shelf space, promotions and gondolas.
• Manage merchandisers' work standards and discipline, and organise promotions through the required negotiations.
• Sort, verify and submit claims to speed up the process, recommend reversals as needed, and ensure stock rotation principles are followed.
• Ensure products are correctly displayed at point of sale.

Required profile

• Grade 12 and three years' experience in FMCG, or a diploma in Sales and Marketing.
• Age between 21 and 35 years.
• Fluency in Afrikaans and English; proficiency in an indigenous language is a definite advantage.
• Namibian citizenship, valid driver's licence (code 08), valid passport and police clearance certificate.
• Reliable own transport, as extensive travelling is required.

Required skills

• Ability to handle pressure and conflict situations.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic understanding and working knowledge of sales maths.
