About the role
Mediclinic is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 3‑month relief assignment. The role involves delivering safe, comprehensive nursing care within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high standards of patient safety and experience.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi‑professional team.
- Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
- Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
- Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
- Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.
Required profile
- Degree or Diploma in General Nursing (essential).
- 2‑3 years of nursing experience (essential).
- Post‑graduate certificate or diploma in Midwifery (desired).
- One year of post‑graduate qualification experience in a specialised unit (desired).
Required skills
- Infection prevention and control.
- Pharmacology knowledge.
- Nursing record keeping.
- Patient assessment skills.
- Computer literacy – Microsoft Office.
- Basic life support training (ACLS, ATLS, PALS).
- Risk identification.
