Properties & Facilities Technical Support Officer

About the role

Old Mutual Namibia is seeking a proactive Properties & Facilities Technical Support Officer to manage its property quote and invoicing system, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with health, safety and security standards across all premises.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the properties Quote and Invoicing System, coordinating bidder selection, contract adjudication and end‑to‑end financial delivery for premises activities.
• Perform routine health‑and‑safety, fire‑safety and security inspections, reporting hazards, non‑compliance and maintenance deficiencies.
• Maintain and update compliance and regulatory documentation for all facilities.
• Support ad‑hoc maintenance requests, office relocations and after‑hours duties as needed.
• Schedule preventative maintenance, develop work plans and coordinate with external vendors.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Property Studies or Facilities Management.
• Valid driver’s licence (Code B or equivalent).
• Minimum of two years’ experience in property or facilities management, preferably in a corporate or commercial environment.
• Experience with preventative maintenance scheduling, work‑plan development and vendor coordination.
• Professional certifications in health & safety or facilities management (e.g., IFMA, BIFM/IWFM) are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to conduct detailed inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Competence in scheduling preventative maintenance and coordinating vendors.
