About the role

The Multi‑Skilled Consultant in the Independence Branch will deliver world‑class service to bank customers, handling teller‑related transactions, inter‑bank transfers and cash control while identifying cross‑sell opportunities. The role supports Nedbank’s transformation agenda, corporate responsibility initiatives and brand values.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit transactional documentation for inter‑bank transfers within required deadlines.
• Authenticate clients and transactions, adhering to risk, fraud prevention and cash control policies.
• Report any irregularities or fraud incidents to the Team Leader and take corrective actions.
• Perform cash and cheque balance reconciliations at start/end of day and at regular intervals.
• Maintain safe limits, declare discrepancies promptly, and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Provide courteous client service by greeting, listening, and asking relevant questions.
• Identify client needs, refer sales leads and enable cross‑selling without providing direct advice.
• Participate in culture‑building initiatives and corporate responsibility programs.
