Money Market Team Leader

About the role

The Money Market Team Leader will oversee daily money‑market operations, ensuring accurate processing, settlement and reconciliation of transactions. This role supports front‑office dealers, maintains the integrity of financial records and systems, and upholds governance and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily money‑market operational activities, guaranteeing timely transaction processing and settlement.
• Review and authorise money‑market deals, journal entries and system updates to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Control suspense accounts, monitor investment portfolios and settlement timelines to minimise interest exposure and reputational risk.
• Prepare and issue confirmations, account statements and investment certificates, handling related queries.
• Oversee daily reconciliations, general‑ledger balances and control templates, escalating material risks as needed.
• Provide system assistance to front‑office dealers and resolve operational issues across platforms.
• Guide team members on processes, controls and service‑level expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Finance (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of money‑market products, settlement procedures and accounting standards.
• Experience supervising operational teams in a financial institution.
• Ability to analyse variances, investigate issues and implement corrective actions.
