Maintenance Manager

About the role

Amalgamated Namibia is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead plumbing, electrical and general building‑maintenance operations across residential, commercial and construction sites. The role combines technical oversight with customer‑focused service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance services.
• Coordinate plumbing, electrical and general building‑maintenance teams.
• Assess and prioritise maintenance requests and emergency call‑outs.
• Schedule technicians, vehicles, equipment and materials.
• Manage work orders from initial request through completion and client approval.
• Conduct site inspections and assess technical maintenance problems.
• Ensure faults are diagnosed correctly and repaired efficiently.
• Monitor response times, workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain preventative‑maintenance schedules and service records.
• Manage tools, replacement parts, stock and maintenance materials.
• Control maintenance costs and prepare operational reports.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding quotations, progress and completion.
• Train, supervise and evaluate technicians and maintenance personnel.
• Identify recurring faults and implement lasting solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum four years’ experience in building, facilities or technical‑service maintenance management.
• Relevant qualification in plumbing, electrical, building maintenance, facilities management or a related field.
• Proven experience supervising plumbing, electrical or general maintenance teams.
• Strong leadership, customer‑service, communication and record‑keeping abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and availability for after‑hours emergencies.
