Head of Finance – Renewable Energy (Windhoek, Namibia)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced finance leader to head the finance function of a fast‑growing renewable energy group in Southern Africa. Based in Windhoek, the successful candidate will report directly to the CFO and play a pivotal role in financial planning, reporting and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Group's finance function, reporting directly to the CFO.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage group reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury and cash‑flow functions.
• Oversee the annual external audit process across multiple entities.
• Ensure tax compliance across several SADC jurisdictions, including cross‑border transactions.
• Partner with executive leadership on financial planning, strategic decisions and funding initiatives.
• Lead and develop Finance Managers and their teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Proven senior finance leadership experience within a group environment.
• Experience in renewable energy, engineering, infrastructure, construction, mining or other project‑based industries is highly regarded.
