Freight Controller – Windhoek

About the role

The Freight Controller reports to the Depot Manager and works at the Brakwater depot in Windhoek. The role involves handling consignments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining safety and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Sorting, picking, verifying, and packing consignments.
• Scanning and labelling parcels with barcode stickers.
• Loading and off‑loading vehicles efficiently, reporting any damages or anomalies.
• Keeping the work area clean and adhering to health, safety, and security regulations.
• Comparing waybills and client documentation to freight loaded or delivered.

Required profile

• Valid Grade 10/12 certificate.
• 1‑2 years of relevant experience (advantageous).
• Physically fit to handle large and heavy freight.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work under pressure.
• Police clearance certificate (issued within the last 3 months) and Namibian citizenship.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
