Flatbed/Interlink National Driver – Windhoek

About the role

Wesbank Transport, a division of FP du Toit Transport, is seeking a reliable Flatbed/Interlink National Driver to operate from its Windhoek depot. The role involves transporting loads across Namibia, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Transport and deliver loads to various customers throughout Namibia, submitting complete paperwork on return.
• Record distance travelled, fuel consumption, waybill numbers and cargo details on the trip sheet.
• Complete the MDC logbook and attach all receipts.
• Load and unload cargo safely, conduct pre‑trip vehicle inspections and ensure correct documentation before departure and on return.
• Handle breakdown situations, perform basic fault finding and emergency roadside repairs.
• Maintain responsibility for cargo integrity and follow all safety procedures.
• Carry out any additional duties reasonably expected of a national driver.

Required profile

• Namibian citizen with a valid Code CE driver’s licence and a valid PDP for Dangerous Goods.
• Grade 12 education and at least five years of relevant transport experience.
• Recent police clearance (no older than three months) and no criminal record.
• Hazchem certification is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work long distances, long hours and maintain sober, disciplined habits.
• High attention to detail, initiative and reliability.
