Driller (MDX) – Namibia

About the role

The Driller (MDX) will operate drilling equipment safely and efficiently in Namibia, ensuring optimal performance, compliance with safety, health and environment (SHE) requirements, and effective use of ancillary systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments for all tasks.
• Perform daily site inspections to declare the work area safe before drilling.
• Carry out hole rehabilitation as needed.
• Maintain equipment in good and safe condition.
• Complete and sign off daily reports, recording crew attendance.
• Communicate daily and weekly drilling targets to the crew.

Required profile

• Grade 12 education.
• Successful completion of the Dover test.
• Capability Training (MD Internal).
• Proficient in reading and writing English.
• Minimum 2 years experience in exploration drilling.
• Minimum 4 years experience operating CS14 and THOR drill rigs.
