Commissioned Financial Advisor (OMAO)

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Commissioned Financial Advisor (OMAO) to provide expert advice on a defined range of financial products to an allocated market segment. The role is individually accountable for delivering results through proactive customer engagement and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality customer service, processing cases, handling complex queries and resolving issues.
• Analyse customer problems to propose technical or professional solutions.
• Receive and assist visitors, directing complex matters to appropriate colleagues.
• Maintain accurate CRM data, schedule follow‑up actions and create call plans to support retention and growth.
• Clarify customer needs, tailor presentations for decision‑makers and gather relevant information.
• Develop and execute relationship‑management plans for prospective accounts, building networks with key influencers.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, regulatory codes and obtain supervisory approval for any procedural exceptions.
• Monitor sales and market data for a specific geographic region to identify development opportunities.
• Represent the organisation at sector events, gather market intelligence and enhance brand visibility.
• Conduct research using primary data sources and business‑intelligence tools to identify trends.
