Commissioned Financial Advisor (OMAO)

About the role

We are looking for a Commissioned Financial Advisor (OMAO) to join Old Mutual in Namibia. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality service to existing customers while actively identifying new business opportunities and supporting client retention.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality service to customers, processing cases and handling complex queries.
• Investigate and resolve customer problems, analysing issues to propose technical or professional solutions.
• Receive visitors, assist with information requests and refer complex matters to colleagues.
• Schedule follow‑up actions, record interactions in the CRM system and create call plans.
• Set clear objectives for sales calls, tailor presentations for decision‑makers and gather relevant information.
• Develop and implement relationship‑management plans for potential accounts.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies, regulatory codes and obtain necessary authorisations.
• Monitor sales and market data for a geographic region to identify development opportunities.
• Build a personal network, represent the organisation at sector events and gather market intelligence.
• Conduct research, analyse trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools.
• Participate in internal and external networking activities.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• Grade 12 with at least 25 points in commercial or business‑related subjects.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an insurance intermediary or in a related financial‑services role.
• Clear criminal and credit check.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional image.
• Strong planning, organising and time‑management skills.
• Proactive attitude.
