Assistant Manager - Retail Store

About the role

FrontierCo, a multi-brand retail group founded in 1986 and now managing brands such as Aldo, Pringle of Scotland, Delsey, Kipling and Mr Tekkie, is hiring an Assistant Manager for its store at Maerua Mall in Windhoek. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting the Store Manager in daily operations, including staff supervision, customer service standards and an engaging in-store experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in daily operations, supervise store staff and oversee customer service standards.
• Monitor sales performance and help achieve sales targets.
• Assist with merchandising and promotional displays, and maintain accurate inventory levels and stock presentation.
• Help implement company policies and support training and coaching of team members.
• Handle basic administrative tasks, report on store performance and act as a keyholder when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail or a similar customer-facing environment; experience in fashion or lifestyle brands is advantageous.
• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent; additional training in retail management or business is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Windhoek, including weekends and retail trading hours as required.

Required skills

• Retail operations and store management, including staff supervision and floor coordination.
• Customer service and sales, with the ability to build relationships, resolve queries and drive revenue.
• Inventory and merchandising, including stock control, visual merchandising and promotion execution.
• Administrative and organizational skills, such as reporting, cash handling oversight and task prioritization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills within a diverse team.
