Academy Adviser – Fixed-Term

About the role

The Academy Adviser will join Old Mutual’s learning and development program, focusing on tele‑sales conversion, customer retention and providing tailored financial advice to individuals, corporate and institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Convert tele‑sales leads and achieve customer retention targets.
• Provide financial advice in line with Old Mutual’s value proposition and compliance framework.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships and conduct prospecting in allocated markets.
• Develop, track and review personal business plans to meet performance targets.
• Enter follow‑up actions and customer data into the CRM system to support retention and business development.
• Handle complex customer queries, process cases and resolve issues.
• Analyze problems to propose technical or professional solutions.
• Receive visitors and direct more complex requests to appropriate colleagues.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• Grade 12 qualification with commercial or business‑related subjects.
• At least three years of experience as an insurance intermediary or in the financial services sector (advantageous).
• Clear criminal and credit record.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional image.
• Strong planning, organising and time‑management abilities.
• Proactive, enthusiastic about sales and a good team player.
• Valid driver’s licence (advantage).
