Territory Manager

About the role

The Territory Manager is responsible for overseeing sales and operations across a group of sites, ensuring profitability and strong relationships with retailers, operators and other external stakeholders within the assigned geographic area.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) processes and ensure compliance with Life Saving Rules.
• Coach and support retailers to improve on‑site operational excellence and customer perception of product quality.
• Drive the rollout of the “People Make the Difference Real” initiative through visible leadership, coaching, reward and performance management.
• Utilise tools such as Navigator and TM Sales Report to monitor and improve performance.
• Implement the Dealer Owned Retail Value Proposition Bundle where applicable.
• Participate in recruitment and selection of top‑performing retailers for company‑owned platforms.
• Act as a role model for VE Core Values and support the Retail Team and wider organization.
• Promote the Global Reward & Recognition Scheme for retailers and their staff.
• Achieve territory targets for fuels, convenience retail, lubricants volume and cost.
• Identify personal competency gaps, training needs and contribute to TM development and accreditation.
• Engage in cross‑functional projects as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Sales or Marketing.
• More than 5 years of sales experience in a retail environment, managing retailers to meet volume and financial targets.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of a Namibian local language is an advantage.
• Mature, assertive, outgoing, able to work independently under pressure and thrive on challenges.
• Strong understanding of the local business environment and a proven track record of execution excellence.
• Team player with high drive and ability to build long‑term relationships.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.
