Site Manager – Giant OTR Mining Tyres

About the role

Haian Rubber Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager to act as the accountable representative on‑site at a mining operation. You will be responsible for the daily management, maintenance and performance of an ultra‑large OTR mining tyre fleet, ensuring maximum equipment availability and safety in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the sole contractor representative on site, handling all tyre‑related operational, technical and commercial matters.
• Oversee inspection, fitting, removal, repair and preventive maintenance of giant‑class OTR tyres.
• Lead, mentor and supervise on‑site technical crews and subcontractors, managing rostering and competency development.
• Enforce strict safety procedures, tyre inflation protocols and lock‑out/tag‑out standards; maintain the site risk register.
• Control operational budgets, labour and material costs, and optimise tyre consumable inventories.
• Prepare and present operational reports, performance metrics, failure analyses and monthly site reviews.
• Develop data‑driven maintenance strategies, SOPs and contingency plans to extend tyre life and reduce downtime.

Required profile

• Relevant NQF Level 7 qualification in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Operations Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years experience in mining tyre management or heavy‑equipment maintenance.
• At least 5 years hands‑on experience with large to ultra‑large OTR mining tyres.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or management role leading multidisciplinary technical teams in remote settings.
