Senior Personal Lines Claims Negotiator

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Senior Personal Lines Claims Negotiator to manage a range of personal insurance claims with low to moderate loss potential. The role involves reviewing, processing, and settling claims while ensuring compliance with company policies and delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end negotiation and settlement of motor claims pre‑litigation, including processing and authorising payments.
• Initiate investigations, assign adjusters, and refer complex cases to attorneys or subject‑matter experts.
• Maintain continuous communication with brokers, clients, and suppliers regarding claim status and progress.
• Identify and report process issues to minimise fraud and ensure quality service delivery.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship with Grade 12 (minimum 25 points).
• At least 2 years of insurance experience, preferably in short‑term claims.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work under pressure and independently.
• Excellent customer service, problem‑solving, and communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
