Senior Administrator – NARAF Death Claims

About the role

The Senior Administrator will manage death benefit investigations for the Namibian Retirement Annuity Fund (NARAF). Working under the Pension Funds Act, you will ensure accurate identification of dependents, recommend benefit allocations, and maintain compliance throughout the claims process.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate death claims, trace dependents/nominees, and assess personal circumstances.
• Apply Section 37C of the PF Act to recommend allocation and payment modes for death benefits.
• Conduct professional interviews, gather evidence, and compile formal case reports.
• Maintain a detailed audit trail and case‑management documentation.
• Collaborate with Death Benefit Allocation Specialists and the Death Claims Sub‑committee on complex legal matters.
• Execute compliant processes with sound judgment and defensible reasoning.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks and support high‑volume claim throughput.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• Matric qualification (essential); post‑matric studies in administration, finance or related fields are advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years experience with Section 37C of the PF Act, including identification and investigation of dependents.
• Familiarity with Old Mutual pension products and claim processes.
• Strong numerical accuracy, reconciliation skills, and critical thinking.

Required skills

• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
• Proficiency with Old Mutual systems: AWD, BANCS, BIZAGI, CMOS, EMS, Omunet.
• Accurate typing and disciplined document handling.
• Call‑centre experience and ability to manage SLA‑driven workloads.
