Salaried Financial Advisor

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a salaried Financial Advisor to deliver high‑quality service to customers across Namibia. The role blends client‑facing advisory work with proactive sales and relationship management, ensuring both new business acquisition and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional advice and support to customers while identifying opportunities for new business.
• Process cases, resolve complex queries, and investigate customer problems.
• Enter follow‑up actions and relevant data into the CRM system to maintain accurate call plans and support retention initiatives.
• Prepare and deliver tailored presentations to decision‑makers, setting clear objectives for each sales interaction.
• Develop and execute relationship‑management plans for potential accounts, building networks with key influencers.
• Monitor sales and market data for a defined geographic region to uncover growth opportunities.
• Represent Old Mutual at sector events, gather market intelligence, and enhance the company’s visibility.
• Research and analyse industry trends using primary data sources and business‑intelligence tools.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• Grade 12 with at least 21 points, including commercial or business‑related subjects.
• Minimum three years’ experience as an insurance intermediary or in a related financial‑services role.
• Clear criminal and credit record.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional image.
• Strong planning, organising and time‑management abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
• Experience using CRM software for data entry and follow‑up management.
