Portfolio Analyst (Risk & Performance) – Windhoek, Namibia

About the role

RisCura is seeking a Portfolio Analyst focused on risk and performance to join its Windhoek office. This graduate position supports asset owners, managers and service providers by delivering high‑quality investment analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to plan and prioritize daily, monthly and quarterly deliverables.
• Retrieve, validate, reconcile and analyse large volumes of portfolio and market data.
• Prepare and present client reports, interpreting results to inform advisory services.
• Manually recalculate and verify statistics, and review reports generated by peers.
• Provide ad‑hoc analyses, respond to report queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Identify process improvements, suggest technical solutions and contribute to quality‑management initiatives.
• Manage personal performance goals, participate in knowledge‑sharing activities and special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Finance or a related field.
• Interest in completing the CIPM, FRM or CAIA charter.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (graduate position).
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, independent yet a collaborative team player with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Databricks.
• Python programming.
• SQL query writing.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
• Exposure to AI tools, automation or self‑initiated coding projects is advantageous.
