About the role
Join Nors' After Sales team in Walvis Bay as a Mechanic I, responsible for ensuring vehicle functionality, safety, and longevity through accurate diagnostics and maintenance.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
- Inspect vehicle electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
- Conduct routine maintenance work, such as replacing components and lubricating parts, to ensure vehicle functionality and longevity.
- Schedule future maintenance sessions and repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts.
- Provide accurate estimates for repair or maintenance jobs and maintain records, including completion of job cards.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
Required profile
- National Craft Certificate (NCC) – Heavy Plant Mechanics.
- 3–6 years proven experience as a mechanic.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle components.
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
- Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions.
- Good customer service skills.
- Fluent in Setswana and English (spoken).
- Valid driver’s license.
