Materials Buyer – Procurement and Inventory Management

About the role

BUCO LIMITED is seeking a full‑time Materials Buyer to join its team in Walvis Bay. The role focuses on managing procurement activities, issuing and tracking purchase orders, and building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, including purchase order creation and follow‑up.
• Analyze purchasing patterns, negotiate contracts, and evaluate vendor performance.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to forecast material needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and sustainable procurement practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support project timelines and delivery requirements.

Required profile

• Strong experience in purchasing and procurement, with proven ability to manage purchase orders.
• Advanced analytical skills to assess suppliers, costs, and purchasing trends.
• Excellent communication skills for vendor negotiations and internal collaboration.
• Proficiency in inventory management and understanding of supply chain processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in media production or a related industry is a plus.
