Line Climber – Electrical Line Construction (1-year Fixed Term)

About the role

Namdeb Diamond Corporation is seeking a Line Climber to join its alluvial mining operation for a one‑year fixed‑term contract. The role supports the artisan team in building and maintaining high‑voltage electrical lines that power mining activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the artisan in the construction of new electrical lines.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing high‑voltage lines.
• Ensure safety standards are met while working at heights.
• Report any faults or hazards to supervisors promptly.

Required profile

• Completed Grade 10 with at least 24 points across seven subjects, including a pass in English (E symbol).
• Valid Code B driver’s licence for manual transmission vehicles.
• Strong communication abilities and sensory vigilance.
• Previous exposure to line construction or maintenance is an advantage.
