Head of Broker Distribution – Personal Finance

About the role

Old Mutual Namibia is seeking an experienced senior professional to lead its Broker Distribution function within the Personal Finance Business Unit. The role will shape strategy, drive growth, and ensure compliance across the broker channel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Broker Distribution strategy aligned with business priorities.
• Maintain market intelligence on regional opportunities and economic trends.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities in existing and new broker segments.
• Design and oversee marketing strategies for savings and investment products.
• Optimize sales performance and resource allocation to meet productivity targets.
• Manage channel economics, operating expenses, and financial performance.
• Strengthen partnerships between distribution channels and product teams.
• Oversee stakeholder, broker, and external relationship management.
• Lead and develop a high‑performance culture within the channel.
• Manage resources, technology, and support processes to achieve targets.
• Handle intermediary contracting, administration, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure adherence to financial industry regulations and mitigate operational risks.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree (NQF Level 7); additional sales or postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years senior managerial experience in the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of life and investment products.
• Proven track record of sales and sales‑management success.
• Deep understanding of the broker market and relevant legislation.
• Innovative, proactive, and strong communication abilities.
