Freight Controller (8 positions) – Oshakati

About the role

The company is seeking eight Freight Controllers to join its Oshakati depot. The role involves handling parcels, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting safe loading and unloading of vehicles. This position reports to the Depot Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Sorting, picking, verifying, and packing consignments
• Scanning and labelling parcels with barcode stickers
• Loading and off‑loading vehicles efficiently, reporting any damages immediately
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Comparing waybills and client documents with freight loaded or delivered
• Following health, safety, and security regulations, including inspections and quality checks
• Performing other duties related to freight control as required

Required profile

• Valid Grade 10/12 certificate
• 1–2 years of relevant experience (advantageous)
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
• Proficiency in English and Afrikaans
• Physical ability to handle large and heavy freight
• Attention to detail, reliability, and strong communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions and learn quickly
• Recent police clearance (no older than 3 months) and Namibian citizenship
