Load Supervisor – Parcel Operations (Oshakati)

About the role

The Load Supervisor will oversee the safe and efficient loading and off‑loading of parcels at the Oshakati depot. Reporting to the Depot Manager, the role ensures that consignments, especially fragile and high‑value items, are handled according to company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise loading and off‑loading activities, guaranteeing safe handling of all consignments.
• Coordinate daily with the Operations Manager on truck availability and delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre‑load vehicle inspections, report defects, and ensure trucks are clean and orderly.
• Verify weight distribution and load limits to prevent shifts during transit.
• Check goods against freight lists and delivery notes, managing discrepancies and damages.
• Prepare and submit detailed loading reports, including incident documentation.
• Maintain loading equipment, ensuring it is serviced, certified, and compliant.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience, preferably in transport or logistics.
• Valid C1 driver’s licence; forklift operator’s licence is an advantage.
• Recent police clearance (no older than three months) and Namibian citizenship.
• Proven computer skills.
• Ability to manage a medium‑sized team and work long, irregular hours.
• Strong written and spoken English and Afrikaans.
