Clinical Facilitator

About the role

The Clinical Facilitator plans and delivers training and development interventions to ensure nursing staff maintain high competency levels. The role may be assigned to a specialist unit such as ICU or operate across multiple nursing units within a hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the competence of all nursing staff.
• Ensure correct application of nursing procedures and policies.
• Identify training needs and design appropriate clinical training interventions.
• Promote a culture of continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Professional Nurse qualification.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education, or 3 years mentor experience plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing for specialist units.
• Certificate of competence in Generic Assessment (Assessor course) when applicable.
• Minimum 3 years of professional nursing experience in a hospital.
• At least 1 year of mentor experience.
