Claims Service Consultant – Insurance Claims Management

About the role

The Claims Service Consultant will join Santam’s Namibia Claims Services team in Windhoek, handling personal and commercial insurance claims. You will be responsible for managing the end‑to‑end claims process, ensuring accuracy, compliance and a high level of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify complete claim documentation from clients.
• Confirm policy coverage and premiums, and upload critical documents to the claims system.
• Validate estimates and claim cause codes.
• Negotiate fair settlements and process claim payments within agreed turnaround times.
• Complete all administrative tasks promptly and accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum 22 points in Grade 11 (new curriculum) or Grade 12 (old curriculum).
• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Insurance or a related field.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a short‑term insurance claims environment (preferred).
• Namibian citizenship and ability to communicate fluently in Afrikaans and English.
• Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the Namibia Qualification Authority.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
