Chief Executive Officer - Investment Manager

About the role

Lexus Capital Partners (Pty) Ltd, a new Namibian unlisted investment manager within the Lexus Group of Companies, invites applications from an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead the business from regulatory establishment through fundraising, investment execution and long-term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the establishment and NAMFISA registration readiness of the manager.
• Shape the investment strategy, operating model, governance framework and organisational culture.
• Build the team and institutional-grade investment, risk, compliance and reporting capabilities.
• Raise capital from pension funds and other institutional investors.
• Originate, evaluate and lead unlisted investments and strategic partnerships.
• Drive portfolio performance through active ownership, disciplined governance and planned exits.

Required profile

• At least five years of senior leadership experience in investment management, private equity, infrastructure investing, corporate finance or development finance.
• A strong transaction record across origination, due diligence, structuring, execution and portfolio oversight, especially in the Namibian market.
• Credibility with institutional investors and experience raising or deploying third-party capital.
• Sound knowledge of fiduciary duties, governance, risk and regulated financial services.
• A relevant postgraduate or professional qualification; CA, CFA or applicable MBA will be advantageous.
• Integrity, independent judgement and the entrepreneurial ability to build an enduring institution.
