Trainee Financial Advisor

About the role

Momentum Metropolitan is looking for a Trainee Financial Advisor in Windhoek, Namibia. The role attracts, acquires and retains clients by selling company products and providing after-sales service, so as to grow new business, increase market share and help the business meet its long-term objectives. It is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Engage prospective clients, explain the features and benefits of products according to their financial needs and guide their decisions.
• Sell products in line with clients' needs, using affordability analysis to help them reach their financial goals.
• Advise on the tax and legal implications of products and changes.
• Capture client information, actions and sales accurately in the systems and complete administrative and reporting requirements on time.
• Achieve set targets on production, quality and conversion while complying with legislative requirements.
• Investigate client queries, escalate them where needed and give accurate advice and timely feedback.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders, report on service delivery and recommend improvements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, take ownership of career development and identify ways to improve cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience in a financial advice role (essential).
• 13 years of experience in the financial services industry (desirable).
• Degree in Financial Planning, Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
• Certificate of proficiency in insurance or equivalent, and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or equivalent registration.
• Knowledge of the financial services industry and relevant legislation.
