Card Issuing and Acquiring Product Lead

About the role

FNB is seeking a Card Issuing and Acquiring Product Lead to drive the growth of its card solutions for corporate, commercial, business and SME clients. You will lead cross‑functional teams, shape product strategy and ensure market share expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical development & deployment team for card acceptance devices.
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance team for business credit/debit and fleet solutions.
• Define and execute the bank’s card issuing and acquiring strategy, aligning with sales targets.
• Identify barriers to product adoption and implement corrective actions to boost client uptake.
• Manage performance, disciplinary actions, recognition and retention in line with HR policies.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements.
• Monitor industry trends, provide business intelligence and contribute to tactical strategy.
• Participate in industry and risk forums to stay abreast of best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading teams that deliver card issuing and acquiring solutions for corporate and commercial segments.
• Strong collaboration skills with sales and operational teams.
• Ability to develop and monitor product performance against targets.
• Knowledge of compliance, risk management and governance in the payments industry.
