Business Development Manager – Corporate & Investment Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth of our corporate and investment solutions portfolio. The role will focus on managing client relationships, delivering product lines and achieving sales targets within Namibia’s pension and investment market.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contracted client deliveries across product lines such as Group Risk Assurance, investment portfolios and annuity structures.
• Proactively maintain and develop client relationships, presenting portfolio suitability and alternative solutions.
• Interpret fund fact sheets, manager performance reports and market commentary to advise clients.
• Cross‑sell products and recommend enhanced solutions to existing clients.
• Deliver presentations, manage the sales pipeline and meet new‑business sales targets.
• Negotiate renewals, benchmark competitors and retain existing clients.
• Review client product portfolios regularly and act as product owner for selected corporate products.
• Liaise with actuarial, investment and legal stakeholders on product design.
• Stay updated on Namibian pension fund legislation and broader market developments.

Required profile

• Namibian citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Investment Management or Business Studies.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the pension fund or investment industry.
• Post‑graduate diploma in Financial Planning/CFP or progress towards CFA Level I is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of investment concepts and annuity structures.
• Assertive self‑starter with excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, attention to detail and strong conflict‑handling abilities.
