Advanced Life Support Paramedic – Operational & Flight

About the role

Medical Rescue Africa is seeking experienced Advanced Life Support Paramedics for operational and flight positions across Namibia and other African countries. You will provide high‑level emergency medical care during ground and aeromedical evacuations, including ALS, ICU, and critical‑care transfers for neonatal, paediatric, and adult patients.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and conduct ground ambulance and aeromedical evacuations.
• Perform ALS/intensive‑care inter‑facility patient transfers.
• Assess patients, deliver emergency treatment, monitor vital signs, and make preliminary diagnoses.
• Communicate professionally with clients, patients, and team members.
• Act as crew senior, ensuring shift motivation and adherence to company standards.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient and operational records.

Required profile

• Active registration with HPCNA as an ALS Paramedic or HPCSA as an ECP/Paramedic.
• Valid driver’s licence (Code 8/10) with professional driving permit.
• CPD compliant and in good standing with the relevant professional body.
• Relevant qualifications such as B.Tech EMC, CCA/Ndip EMC, or equivalent.
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS/APLS, ANLS, EMOVA/DAMIT, Aviation HCP, HUET, BOSIET/FOET (preferred).
