Trainee Financial Advisor – Client Services

About the role

This trainee position supports the acquisition and retention of clients by delivering tailored financial advice and product solutions. You will work closely with senior advisors to understand client needs, perform affordability analyses, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Engage prospective clients, presenting product features that match their financial wellness goals.
• Conduct affordability and suitability analyses to recommend appropriate financial products.
• Calculate and advise on tax and legal implications of product choices.
• Accurately record client information, sales actions, and administrative data in internal systems.
• Meet production, quality, and conversion targets while adhering to compliance requirements.
• Respond to client queries within agreed service levels and escalate when necessary.
• Provide regular reports on service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal/external stakeholders.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience in a financial advice role (essential).
• 1‑3 years experience in the financial services industry (desirable).
• Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
• Certificate of proficiency in Insurance or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant legislative/regulatory exams or certifications (e.g., CFP).
