Relationship Consultant – GAP

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Relationship Consultant to support its Orion Namibia Retirement Funds and GAP schemes. The role involves assisting the consulting team with client interactions, data analysis, and product training while ensuring high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare agenda packs, presentations, minutes, quotations and annual rate reviews for Orion and GAP meetings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless service to clients and intermediaries.
• Conduct product training for intermediaries, employers and members.
• Collect, analyse and submit monthly reports to the Orion Principal Officer and regulatory bodies.
• Schedule appointments for the Client Relationship Manager and assist in resolving client queries.
• Support sales initiatives to grow the Orion client base and meet medium‑sized sales targets.
• Provide specialist advice on policies, prepare documents, and generate analytical reports.
• Develop and implement relationship‑management plans for existing customer accounts.

Required profile

• Namibian citizen with at least Grade 12 (minimum 25 points).
• 2‑3 years experience in the insurance or retirement‑fund industry.
• Assertive self‑starter with excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, punctual, sincere and high work ethics.
• Fluent in English; additional local languages are an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong computer proficiency.
• Excellent typing speed.
