About the role
The Head of Finance and IT provides strategic leadership for both financial and information technology functions of the Namibia Tourism Board, ensuring resources are managed efficiently to support the organisation's objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategy, oversee budgeting, cash management, internal controls, tax compliance and preparation of financial statements in line with GAAP and IFRS.
- Lead the IT function, ensuring adequate hardware, software, website security, IT risk management and acting as the primary contact for all IT projects.
- Coordinate audits, manage revenue assurance, provide financial and investment advice to the CEO and Board, and ensure compliance with public‑enterprise legislation.
Required profile
- Extensive senior financial management experience, preferably in the public sector or tourism industry.
- Proven leadership in overseeing IT operations and implementing technology strategies.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations and public‑enterprise legislation.
