About the role
The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, monitoring and delivery of civil and transport engineering projects in Namibia. Reporting to the Function Manager, the role involves direct client interaction and coordination of multidisciplinary teams to meet organisational objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives and deliverables in line with client requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones and communication strategies.
- Track progress against baselines, manage timelines, dependencies and critical paths.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations and communicate risks.
- Estimate resources, engage consultants or contractors, assign tasks and supervise multidisciplinary teams.
- Coach, mentor and motivate team members, reviewing performance and work quality.
- Identify, manage and resolve project issues, changes in scope, cost and schedule, and implement risk mitigation plans.
- Prepare progress reports, status updates, presentations and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project management frameworks, company procedures and quality standards.
- Conduct project close‑out reviews and capture lessons learned.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing civil or transport engineering projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in risk, change and issue management.
- Excellent communication and reporting capabilities.
