Migration Health Nurse Assistant

About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Migration Health Nurse Assistant to support the Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) in Windhoek, Namibia. Working under the Sub‑Regional Health Assessment Program Coordinator and directly with the Migration Health Physician, the assistant will contribute to the delivery of health assessments for migrants and support public‑health activities.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out duties and responsibilities related to the operation of the Migration Health Assessment Centre as directed by the Migration Health Physician and the Sub‑Regional Health Assessment Program Coordinator.
Required profile
- High school diploma with at least three years of relevant work experience, or an intermediate nursing degree with three years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree in nursing with one year of experience.
- Experience or training in tuberculosis management, mass immunisation, communicable diseases, laboratory testing or public health is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and the local language.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access).
