About the role
We are looking for a mature, fair and resilient Human Resources Manager to join our Management Committee (MANCO) in Windhoek. The role will lead the HR function in a fast‑paced, unionised operational environment, partnering closely with Operations and Executive Management.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full HR function across the business.
- Act as a strategic partner to Operations and senior leadership.
- Drive all Industrial Relations processes, including disciplinary hearings, grievances, CCMA/Labour Commissioner cases, and union negotiations.
- Review, update and implement HR policies to ensure compliance and practical application.
- Oversee payroll accuracy, compliance and governance; personally manage MANCO payroll and supervise Payroll Administrators.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation and internal policies.
- Support organisational change, restructuring and workforce planning.
- Drive employee engagement, performance management and culture alignment.
- Develop succession planning frameworks and provide HR reporting at MANCO level.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of HR management experience, with extensive Industrial Relations exposure.
- Proven experience in a highly unionised environment and strong payroll oversight.
- Solid understanding of labour legislation and compliance requirements.
- High emotional intelligence, fairness, integrity and the ability to handle conflict.
