Tour Conductor for Southern Africa (German, French or Dutch speaking)

About the role

Ventura TRAVEL is looking for a passionate Tour Conductor to lead small groups on immersive 2‑3 week journeys across South Africa, Namibia or Botswana. You will be the face of the company, ensuring each guest experiences the authentic beauty and culture of Southern Africa while feeling safe and well‑cared for.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small group of 4‑10 travelers on country‑wide tours, acting as the host and company representative.
• Provide clear, engaging information about wildlife, history, culture and current affairs of each destination.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, handling any issues or emergencies that arise.
• Ensure traveller safety, follow protocols, and maintain smooth operation of the itinerary.
• Manage cash payments with local partners and monitor service quality against safety and sustainability standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in German, French or Dutch (advanced level) and good English communication skills.
• Resident of South Africa, Namibia or Botswana with a valid National Tour Guide licence and PdP.
• Extensive knowledge of Southern African flora, fauna, history and current matters.
• Strong organisational, reliability and interpersonal qualities; calm under pressure.
• Passion for authentic, sustainable travel and a friendly, helpful attitude toward guests.
